Hubby's Away.

So Jimbo is on business until Wednesday, boo. I am determined to make the best of him out of the house for a couple of days. First thing I did when I came home was make this...

Fried egg sandwich with Miracle Whip, tomatoes, and cheese. How shamelessly white trash... but delicious.

I have a long list to do before Jim gets home but the project I would love to have finished is our master closet. I need to clean it out and move things around so his side is more than six inches long. I am going to attempt to organize the master bath as well. Needless to say those are the two areas I am having problems sharing space.

Well wish me luck and happy Monday to all!

Working Girl

This year has been a difficult one when it comes to career decisions. I left my job at Family Education because it was losing funding. I chose one preschool over another and ended up waiting for the position an extra three months to open up. I tried to sell rentals for an inflatables company and that was a flop. I have ignored my gut with every job choice I have made this year, and regretted every one.

Today, I offered to help out a friend with some phone training with Mary Kay. I am a long time fan of Mary Kay and occasional user. After listening to what her trainer had to say, I KNEW I had to give this a try. I listened to my gut and will sign the agreement this evening. I am not one for big start up costs. I hate putting money into something I may not be able to sell, but in the month of October it is only $50 dollars to get your kit!! I spent $50 dollars just picking up bread and weekly groceries yesterday. Mary Kay is such a well respected company also, I have always looked for a good reason to start. Well this was it.

I will keep you posted on how it goes. If you are interested in giving Mary Kay a chance, let me know! The $50 start up cost ends Saturday at 7pm.

Fresh Start

I tried the blog thing about a year ago and gave it up. I try to blame it on the crazy job situation, house hunting or a million other things. The truth is in my attempt to document my own life, forgot to live it. I think its easy to get wrapped up in this blog thing, stopping real moments to take pictures for the blog. I felt I was missing out on things because in the back of my mind I was thinking if it was blogworthy. So here I am... trying it again... I want to make a disclaimer to any readers (if there are any left.)

I promise that my posts will be real ideas, real stories and real snippets of my life. Boring or not.

This first post will be one of confessions.

1. I live a pretty boring life... and like it that way. Minimal drama, marginal excitement but perfect for me.

2. I will be obsessed with Georgetown College football for another month. My brother is on the team and I am the proudest football sister there is. My friends are truly sick of hearing about it.

3. I am not baby crazy yet... I am baby interested.

4. I am not a huge fan of Lilly. *GASP* I like some of her things but the majority is just too whimsical for me.

5. I long to be the perfect "Southern Housewife" but I am so far from that its sad.

Well there it is ... my first post back in Blogland.
